IMAGES TO PDF / STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
Turn a set of images into an ordered document.
Combine JPG, JPEG, PNG and WebP images locally. Reorder and rotate pages, choose paper or fit-to-image sizing, then balance margins, background and quality.
REAL SCREENSHOTS / WORKFLOW EVIDENCE
Use the real workspace, step by step.
Image order, page layout and PDF preview are captured from the live local tool. Start with the workspace controls, then verify the loaded result before exporting.

Keep the source file, set the task, then review representative pages after export before relying on the result.
01 / THE WORKFLOW
Complete one careful run in four steps.
- 01
Add the images
Choose the images from your device and wait for each thumbnail to load.
- 02
Organise the sequence
Drag to reorder, rotate individual images and remove any page that does not belong.
- 03
Set the page model
Choose paper size, orientation, margins, Contain or Fill, background and output quality.
- 04
Preview and export
Check the first, last and largest images, then download one ordered PDF.
02 / KEY CONTROLS
Know what each setting changes.
Page model
A4, Letter, Legal, A3, A5 and Fit image cover common print and archive needs.
Contain or Fill
Contain preserves the complete image; Fill uses the page more fully and may crop edges.
Quality and size
Use higher quality for print and inspection; use a balanced setting for faster sharing.
03 / CONFIGURATION REFERENCE
Read the configuration as a working spec.
Do not memorize labels in isolation. Check what each control changes, then read its defaults, dependencies and practical starting point.
CONTROL
Page size
- Purpose and impact
- Sets the PDF canvas used for every image page.
- Default / valid options
- A4 (default), Letter, Legal, A3, A5 or Fit image.
- Prerequisite / dependency
- Images must be loaded; Fit image uses each image’s dimensions.
- Recommendation and use case
- Use A4 for office sharing, Letter for US workflows and Fit image when cropping must be avoided.
CONTROL
Orientation
- Purpose and impact
- Chooses portrait, landscape or the image’s natural direction.
- Default / valid options
- Auto (default), portrait or landscape.
- Prerequisite / dependency
- Auto reads each image’s dimensions; fixed direction may add whitespace.
- Recommendation and use case
- Keep Auto for mixed photos; choose fixed direction for a consistent print packet.
CONTROL
Image fit
- Purpose and impact
- Controls whether the complete image is preserved or the page is filled.
- Default / valid options
- Contain (default) keeps the full image; Fill fills the page and may crop edges.
- Prerequisite / dependency
- Fill clips edges when aspect ratios differ; review the crop warning.
- Recommendation and use case
- Use Contain for documents/screenshots; use Fill only for edge-to-edge layouts.
CONTROL
Margins
- Purpose and impact
- Adds space around the image inside the PDF page.
- Default / valid options
- None, small 4 mm (default), large 12 mm or custom 0-50 mm.
- Prerequisite / dependency
- Custom appears only after selecting Custom; margins reduce available image area.
- Recommendation and use case
- Start with Small for printing and notes; use None for full-bleed images.
CONTROL
Background
- Purpose and impact
- Fills transparent pixels and the area around an image.
- Default / valid options
- Any six-digit colour; default white.
- Prerequisite / dependency
- Only transparent pixels reveal the background; JPG already has one.
- Recommendation and use case
- Use white for documents; choose a brand colour only for an intentional design.
CONTROL
Quality
- Purpose and impact
- Balances raster detail, export size and browser processing time.
- Default / valid options
- Best, Balanced (default) or Smaller.
- Prerequisite / dependency
- Large images consume more memory at higher quality.
- Recommendation and use case
- Balanced is the default for sharing; Best for print review; Smaller for previews.
CONTROL
Output filename
- Purpose and impact
- Sets the downloaded PDF filename.
- Default / valid options
- Text ending in .pdf; default images-to-pdf.pdf.
- Prerequisite / dependency
- The name is cleaned of path separators and invalid filename characters; it does not change page content.
- Recommendation and use case
- Use a short name that identifies the document and revision, then keep the source images separately.
04 / EXPORT CHECKS
Confirm these three things before delivery.
- The image order becomes the PDF page order, so organise before export.
- Large photos can create a large PDF; reduce quality only after checking readability.
- Keep the source images when they are the authoritative originals.
Open the tool, choose a file and start from the preview.
